Another place I hang out at online is a place called Second Life (SL).  Just as the name suggests, it is like a "second life."  I have some good friends there.  For me, it's a nice getaway.  Plus, the dynamics of the people, the economy, and the society are fascinating.

If you decide to check it out, keep in mind that Linden Labs, the creators, basically built an empty world and then opened the doors to all.  What you see in SL was built by players, not by the company.  Some things will look boxy or clunky while other things will be beautiful.  Do not judge the world of SL with just a few visits.  Get in and look around some.  At least get out of the noobe areas.  Also, before you completely give up on it, add me to your friend's list, look me up, and let me show you a few places.  My name in SL is FiresFury Jie and you need to add the entire name to your friend's list.

Important!!!  The best things in SL are those things that are found, but were never searched for.

You can try to download (right click and save target as...) a video here.  NOTE!  The original video was over 600 megs.  I've compressed it for easy upload and download down to about 140 megs.  So you can imagine how beautiful the land really is.
